Who is eFax
EFax is a publicly held company that has been in the fax business just about forever. They are wholly owned by J2 corporation who also owns Send2fax, Dataoncall and several other fax companies. eFAX is the best of thier bunch.
UPDATE: With the addition of new features and the elimiation of the sign up fee we feel we can now recommend eFax as a reliable internet fax provider. 9/2011

Signing up
Signup is relatively easy for EFax. They accept the following credit cards
- Visa
- Master Card
- American Express
Log in to EFax EFax uses standard login procedures and lets you send and receive faxes either using your email ID or through their very well thought out online interface. eFax also has a downloadable fax application which is not necessary to use the service but does add some functionality. The last time I checked eFax advertised the ability to send faxes directly from Microsoft office but was unable to help me configure it. This is not usually a critical feature in any case.
eFax offers
- Web access
- Proprietary software (not necessary to use the service)
- Regular email to fax and fax to email
Number Coverage
NICE FEATURE: eFax has probably the BEST number coverage of any of the Internet fax services. They cover 90% or great of the county. As with any fax service they do recycle numbers so the chance of getting unwanted spam exists but is not likely until you start giving out your number then all bets are off. The beauty of Internet Fax is that you get your fax in your email letting you easily delete any spam without having to worry about ink and paper costs and tying up your fax machine. eFAx allows you to transfer your current fax number which can be a plus if your current number is widely distributed.
eFax Customer Service
These guys got it covered with Toll Free phone, email and chat support. Their customer service appears to be out of India but is well done and in the unlikely event that you need a higher level of support tier two support is out of the US. Setup & Administration The setup is very easy to do and you can be up and running in minutes. eFax like all Internet fax services is easy startup and use. We really do NOT recommend using eFax free service as it has significant limitations including that your number will likely be in Chicago or some other city not close to home. It also does not allow you to send faxes.
Caution!!! eFax’s Pay service is EXCELLENT! The free service also pack a whole lot of numbers onto One fax box and there are no guarantee’s as to when you’ll get your faxes.
Though expensive eFax’s Plus service is a solid Internet fax service from a provider that offers excellent service and is rock solid.

Really, it’s just fax but at least it’s less annoying this way and it’s easier to electronicly file the signed contract
before I know I spent more than $14.13 a month for wasted paper from the frikin fax spam i was getting
This is way too expensive $14.13
I was hesitant about using this service and the web can be misleading with reviews. So I decided to give them a call at 877-xxx-xxxx and speak with a rep. They were very knowledgeable and answered all my questions. I’m glad I picked up the phone and educate myself.
