Importat Update. J2, eFax's parent company bought RapidFAX in December of 2007. J2 owns a number of relatively independent efax companies including DataonCall. We'll get you an update soon on what this means but for the moment the pricing differences still remain. J2 is the biggest fax player in the market and there is every reason to believe they will continue to run RapidFAX at a high level of service. Comparisson of RapidFAX and eFax Both of these services offer similar service. Both services offer tons types of documents you can send via Internet fax. Both offer retry, large corporate network backbones and both are very reliable. RapidFAX and eFax both offer 24/7 customer service via phone and chat. Below I list some of the key differences between RapidFAX and eFax.
Both RapidFAX and eFax are large public companies and both ofer 24/7 service. RapidFAX offers service Center in the Philippines and eFax has their service in India. Of the two the Philippines accent is easier to follow. RapidFAX is cheaper than eFax. RapidFAX says they only store faxes for 30 days but in reality stores them almost forever. If you need to store your faxes online for a long time then choose eFAX. Both RapidFAX and eFax offer a path to upgrade to enterprise level fax services RapidFAX throgh its parent EasyLink Services and eFax through its parent J2. EasyLink has far more corporate clients than J2. Storing faxes online should not be an issue here since you can easily download Internet faxes to your hard-drive and keep them forever for free.
