How to send a fax through the Internet

It's easy to send a fax online through the Internet. You can either use email to fax, or get faxes in your email with almost no learning curve. Read on to find out how easy it is!

Web faxing is simple. Usually all you need to do is

  1. Sign up with an Internet Fax Provider (see our links section for a list)
  2. Open an email program like MS Outlook
  3. Create a new email with the email ID you signed up with
  4. Address your email like this This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it This is the fax number you want to send to + the name of the fax service you are using.
  5. Type in your fax message and add attachments (more on this below)
  6. Hit send

What happens now?

Your email will be sent to the Internet Fax provider which will turn it into a Fax, including your attachment (as long as it is supported) and send it to the fax number you put in the address of the email.
