Is getting fax in your email with Internet fax worth the cost? Many people often overlook the value of Internet Faxing.  From a SOHO (Small Office/Home Office) perspective, there are many components to the fax machine.  If you fall prey to actually owning a machine, you need the machine, paper, toner, fax machine ink, electricity, a phone line and an advanced degree in figuring out how to use the machine itself (all depends on the features you got with the machine.

Overall, the cost is around $20 to $25 per month, this assumes $5.00 per month for the machine ($200/36 months), $1.00 per month for electricity, paper and toner, and $15.00 per month for the phone line.

While cost savings may be of interest to some, perhaps the biggest savings is your sleep. Despite the federal government's best efforts, junk faxes still prevail.  Your fax number will ultimately find itself on someone's fax list, either by a business relationship or by some unscrupulous fax broadcaster trying to unload their wares.  This means at some point in time your fax machine will ring in the middle of the night.  The beauty of Internet Fax is that everything is virtual, the phone rings and is answered, but not at your home.  You will ultimately receive your fax in your email as an attachment allowing you to process your intended faxes and easily deleting those that are junk.  That alone is worth the cost of the service, even if you only receive faxes occasionally.
